A new openEHR server is born

A student built a clinical data repository in Rust over a single summer. I put it next to my existing EHRbase, moved 34,403 test compositions across, and found three defects along the way that had been sitting there unnoticed for months.
On 1 July 2026 a new repository appeared on GitHub. On 24 August a post followed on the openEHR forum, titled “a new Rust-based openEHR CDR, looking for testers”. Its author is Ruben Talstra, a student at Hanze University of Applied Sciences in Groningen, who spent his summerholiday on it.
